Hey FHS students and family! This year FHS is helping to support a local organization, The Integrated Refugee and Immigrant Services (IRIS) to help raise awareness and fundraise for local refugee and immigrant families through their Run for Refugee Virtual 5K! If you're looking for a fun way to remain active and socially distant while supporting an amazing cause, register or donate HERE under our FHS For IRIS Team! The funds raised from the Run for Refugees enable IRIS to provide vital services to refugees and immigrants in the community. In 2020, IRIS helped 120 refugees and immigrants find work, provided $200,000 in rental assistance, taught students English, art, and music, virtually, and fed 300+ families per week with essential groceries from their food pantry. Next year, they are hoping to continue these elevated pandemic services and welcome many new families, and they would be grateful for FHS's help in accomplishing this goal. Please click here for more information.
