FHS 2020 CONNECTED LEARNING


AP Testing Update - 4/6/20


Grab and Go Breakfast and Lunch will be available to all families in need at Farmington High School on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11:00 am -1:00 pm.


At its March 23rd meeting the Board of Education voted to reduce Spring Break to a long weekend: Good Friday, April 10 and Monday, April 13. The Board also voted to set graduation as Thursday, June 11, 2020.

Below are the new quarter dates:
Quarter 3 ends Tuesday, April 7
Quarter 4 ends Thursday, June 11

COUNSELING NEWS:


Scholarship Information for seniors:

Many scholarship opportunities are available to our seniors! Please see below for some important information:

  • The Common Scholarship application is also available on the local scholarships page. Students should fill out the application, make a copy for each scholarship they plan on applying to, and check off the name of the scholarship from the list at the top.
  • There are 3 scholarships offered by the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain. The applications are now posted on the Scholarships page.
  • If an application requires a counselor recommendation letter, students are required to fill out a request form and bring it to the counseling office. There is a link to the form located at the top of the scholarship page.
  • There will be no scholarship drawer or scholarship packet this year. All scholarship and financial aid information will be available on our website.
If you or your senior have any questions about scholarships or financial aid please contact the School Counseling Office. We are happy to help!

Pratt & Whitney Engineer Engagement

Pratt & Whitney has reached out to schools and expressed interest in organizing virtual meetings with the company's engineers. If you are interested in setting up a virtual meeting with a Pratt & Whitney engineer, please reach out to Mr. Netcoh (netcohs@fpsct.org). The company has engineers that specialize in a variety of disciplines.
