IN THIS SECTION

TRI M is an international music honor society for high school students. It is designed to recognize students for their academic and musical achievements, instill service and mentorship through music, and to inspire other students to excel at music and leadership. Tri-M is a program of the National Association for Music Education, the largest non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of music education.

The Farmington Public School Tri-M Chapter requires students to have a B average in their coursework with a 90 average in their honors music course (full time in an ensemble.) Full-time students fill out an extensive application about participation and service in the music department. Monthly meeting attendance is required. Students who have more than one unexcused absence will be in poor standing. Twenty hours of approved service is required for seniors to receive their graduation honor cord. (Seniors must have 10 hours by October of their senior year.) Tri M members must audition for the Northern Regionals Festival.

Dues – All members must pay their annual dues of $15. Students who do not pay their dues will be in poor standing.

Farmington Public Schools are delayed two hours due to inclement weather. No morning preschool. Farmington EXCL is open at its standard locations and time.
