The objective of our Parent Teacher Organization is to promote academic, cultural and social programs at West District School. The PTO organizes fundraising events throughout the year, including a fall catalog fundraiser such as Yankee Candle, a holiday craft fair and a Spring Fundraiser event. These enable us to purchase technology, fund cultural enrichment programs and provide for other school improvements or needs. In recent years, the PTO has supported the Maker Space, playground renovations, a new stage/cafeteria curtain and additional books for our library and classrooms.
We enjoy a full year of family activities including a fall social, a BINGO or Movie Night get-together in the winter, a literature event in the spring and a family picnic at the end of the school year.
Our members are eager to help students in the classroom and the library is staffed daily by volunteers. We value having the opportunity to work in partnership with our teachers and principal toward the common goal of ensuring a nurturing and successful elementary school experience!
