Parent Organization

Union School is supported by a vigorous parent teacher organization. More than 200 parents volunteer, in various capacities, leading committees and supporting the library, publishing center, technology, Reader's Garden, and cultural arts. Parents support classroom learning as Room Parents, classroom volunteers, by collecting books to enhance classroom libraries, by bringing great cultural events to Union School along with technology.

For the 2015-2016 School Year the PTO will focus on beautification and updating the look of Union School. Some key fundraisers for the year will include Boo Bash, Mixed Bag Fundraiser and Taste of Union.

We continue to promote Green Efforts through Recycling: cell phone, ink cartridge and hard plastic tops and Reducing: cloth napkin Fridays, electronic Friday Folder notices and paperless PTO meetings.

This year PTO meetings will be held 5 times a school year during the following months: September, November, February, April and May. Principal's Forum will happen prior to the PTO meetings for the meetings held in November, February and April from 6:30-7pm while all PTO meetings will be held from 7-8pm . Child care for all school-age children is provided FREE of charge in the library. We invite all families to get involved! We know that there are many demands for our time so all contributions and support are appreciated.
