The objective of our Parent Teacher Organization is to promote academic, cultural and social programs at West District School. The PTO organizes two major fundraising events - a gift wrap sale and a holiday craft fair - which enable us to purchase technology, fund cultural enrichment and provide for other school improvements such as our recently renovated playground, a new stage/cafeteria curtain and additional books for our library and classrooms.
We enjoy a full year of family activities including a fall hayride, an ice skating night and a BINGO get-together in the winter, a literature event in the spring and a family picnic at the end of the school year.
Our members are eager to help students in the classroom and the library is staffed daily by volunteers. We value having the opportunity to work in partnership with our teachers and principal toward the common goal of ensuring a nurturing and successful elementary school experience!
