The mission of the West Woods Parent Teacher Organization is to support student learning and to promote a strong partnership between home and school. The PTO works towards its mission by promoting parent involvement in the school, by enhancing student life and educational experiences, by collaborating around issues of school improvement, and by fostering community spirit within the school.
Every West Woods family is a member of the PTO, there are no dues required to participate.
The West Woods PTO supports the school in many ways; raising funds to support school programs, contributing to cultural and fine arts programs, providing vounteers for school activities, assisting with the Book Fair, and providing liaisons to town initiatives and committees and the Student Council.
Parents and guardians can participate in school-wide service projects and attend parent education workshops co-sponsored by the PTO.
The PTO's primary source of fundraising is the "No Frills" fundraiser. Each family is asked to contribute $40 to cover the commitments we make to support the school's needs. If 100% of our goal is met by November, we will not need to continue to solicit funds throughout the year. Contributions are accepted throughout the school year.
Wildcat Spirit Wear (school T-shirts, hoodies, sweatpants, lounge pants & string bags) is sold for back to school, holiday gift giving, and again in the Spring. Visit www.jbsportsgear.com (Store: WWUES Spirit)
