Art Program 

Experiences within the Irving Robbins Middle School Art Department are designed to foster critical thinking through the development of skills and the exploration of media, subject matter and stylistic approaches to art.  Throughout the 28-day rotation, students will build upon their foundational knowledge of the elements and principles of design, heighten their awareness of art from diverse cultures and make connections between art, science and history. 

Perception, production, reflection and work ethic are critical components of our program, through which students gain understanding.  Our students come to our rooms with enthusiasm and individuality.  We engage them in experiences that enhance their ability to observe, analyze, create and respond to art and their world.
