Welcome to First Grade!

My name is Sally Chaves and I have been teaching for 25 years; the last 14 years at West District School. It is my belief that all students have potential for greatness. For all students to meet with success, it takes a team of parents and teachers supporting children's  efforts. The ultimate goal is to provide educational experiences that will allow students to become successful learners. We are all a community of teachers and learners.

I look forward to the start of the 2012-2013 school year.
