Some additional websites:

www.roman-britain.org   Winner of the forum award, this is a very thorough website, but is quite useful for the Roman forts along Hadrian’s wall if you have the patience to use it

www.novaroma.org

www.pompeiisites.org/sezione.jsp?titolo=the%20roman%20house    This is the official website of the excavations at Pompeii and also includes pictures from neighboring towns including Stabiae and Herculaneum (Ercolano)  Some parts of the website are in Italian

www.bbc.co.uk/schools/primaryhistory/romans/theromanarmy

http://wings.buffalo.edu/AandL/Maecenas This site from SUNY Buffalo has images from Ancient Greece and Rome in an excellent, easy to use format.

Thank you so much! Cindy
