GOVERNMENT AND LAW

     This course is designed to give students a thorough understanding of the structure, function and purpose of government in the United States, including the American politi-cal and legal systems.  Students also will un-derstand their rights under the U.S. Constitu-tion and the responsibilities that accompany those rights.  This course will lead students to a better understanding of their civic responsi-bility and their role as participating citizens of the United States.  This course fulfills the Civics graduation requirement.
