Hello!  My name is Mrs. Johnson.  I teach 5th and 6th grade Chorus.  I have been here at West Woods since our school opened in 2002. 

In chorus we work hard each day to become better musicians.  We focus on developing the singing voice as an instrument and understanding the concept of singing in a choral ensemble.  Our daily rehearsals also include  strengthening our music reading skills.  

My goal as a chorus teacher  in Farmington is to help our young musicians strengthen their skills, their confidence and their musical independence.  My hope is that all students have a positive musical experience at West Woods and continue to sing throughout their years in the Farmington public schools.
